Dear compatriots!
The Ukrainian National Flag, consecrated at St.Sofia Cathedral, was for the first time hoisted 18 years ago in the center of Kyiv. For the years of independence, it has become a national shrine, an integral part of Ukrainian State. This is the symbol of liberty and independence, glory and revival of Ukraine.
The colours of the National Flag unite all the citizens of Ukraine irregardless of their political inclinations. Having become the symbol of consolidation, it is still regarded as a single full-fledged State attribute.
I wish you that your life would always be as colourful and rich as the colours of our National Flag: blue and peaceful as the sky, and gold yellow as wheat fields of Ukraine.
